Read on for more information (listed from north to south, for those with chapter leaders and those without) and please email us at info@DarnAir.org with additions or corrections or if you want to help out with any of these chapters!

Ideas for college chapters

  • Table at new student day or club day etc.
  • Pitch an article to the student newspaper.
  • Pitch a story to the college radio station.
  • Prepare for football season by writing up a “game plan” document like this early draft BYU stadium document. FYI there are home football games (all on Saturdays unless noted) at BYU on Thursday Aug 29 (v. U o f U), Sept 14, Sept 21, Oct 19, Nov 9, and Nov 16; at USU on Sept 7, Sept 28, Oct 19, Nov 2 (v BYU), Nov 16, and Nov 23; at Weber State on Sept 7, Sept 28, Oct 12 (v SUU), Oct 19, Nov 9, and Nov 23; at Dixie State on Sept 7, Oct 5, Oct 12, Oct 26, Nov 2, and Nov 16; at the U of U on Sept 7, Sept 14, Sept 28, Oct 19, Oct 26, Nov 16, and Nov 30; at SUU on Sept 14, Sept 28, Oct 19, Oct 26, and Nov 16.
  • Find clubs that want to help.
  • Find relevant classes (e.g., climate change, air pollution, or other environmental or policy classes) and then email the professors and/or visit the classes to pitch the campaign and get students involved.
  • Identify cafeterias, bookstores, bus stops, and other places where it would be good to collect signatures. Some of those places (like campus bike shops) might be willing to keep a signboard and packet there for folks to sign.
  • Other ideas??
