Hello clean-air-and-climate friends: It’s been almost a year since our last update… here’s the news!

Rally on T Dec 9 5:30pm at the Capitol: The League of Women Voters and Salt Lake Indivisible are among the backers of a rally at the Capitol on T Dec 9 at 5:30pm, just before the start of a(nother) special session in which the legislature will try to make ballot measures harder and gerrymandering easier. Details here if you want to participate. There will be caroling!

Screenplay reading on T Dec 16 6-8pm at the U and on Zoom: I’ve written a screenplay for a family-friendly romantic comedy about democracy, climate action, and sandwiches that was inspired by the Clean The Darn Air campaign (and in return may help build interest in the next iteration of the campaign!) and we’re doing a table reading next Tuesday. See the attached flyer for some details and please fill out this Google Form if you’d like to attend in person (free pizza!) or on Zoom.

Blouin and Kitchen campaigns: The Congressional map for 2026 has a new district centered on Salt Lake City (District 1), and there are at least four candidates competing in the Democratic primary that’s coming on June 23, 2026. Two of them (Derek Kitchen and Nate Blouin) have been wonderful supporters of the Clean The Darn Air effort, so please show one or both of them some love by donating to or volunteering for their campaigns!

Cheers,
Yoram and the Clean The Darn Air team
