Please join us on zoom (link available via email) from 7-7:40pm MT every other Wednesday night: W May 3, W May 17, etc. All are welcome to a discussion of our campaign and our progress in qualifying for the Nov 2024 ballot by collecting 135,000 signatures by W Nov 22, 2023!

Signature-gathering opportunities: Check out the Guide to Gathering Signatures and this 2-pager with instructions for signature gatherers, and then click on the links below for event calendars; experienced volunteers have added their names and contact info in red to events they’re going to attend, so reach out to them if you want to join them! (Or try to add a Comment on the calendar, or email us at info@DarnAir.org.)  No experience necessary, we will provide training and materials, email us at info@DarnAir.org with questions!

Purchasing power: We have the materials that we need for now, but in the weeks ahead we will need to order more of our awesome stickers, so please consider a donation to help us buy more stickers!

In the news: Our very own London Kelley has an op-ed in the Tribune: “It’s Time for Gen Z to Rise Up for Climate Action”. The Tribune also features Provo’s Don Jarvis in “Fueled by incentives, heat pumps are gaining ground in Utah”. Here’s a handy DAQ page about emissions from lawn and garden equipment (and opportunities to go electric!), and the Deseret News reports on an American Lung Association study showing that “Utah’s air quality still ranks among the country’s worst.

Tales from the Trails: During an otherwise productive day of signature-gathering at Utah Tech, Yoram heard a new explanation from a student who declined to sign: “I don’t breathe oxygen!” And Lisa R sends this update, also from SW Utah: “Had a great time signature gathering at the Washington County Fair Parade today, but as usual, it was not without the challenging few people. But as I was walking back to the car to leave for home, a woman stopped me and said, “I want to sign your petition.” She, her husband, and another woman with them all signed. It was a very uplifting way of ending a busy day of approaching people. Nice to have someone approach me!”
