Please join us on Zoom (link available via email) from 7-7:40pm MT every other Wednesday night: W Nov 2, W Nov 16, etc. All are welcome! We’ll talk about the Four P’s—Policy, Plan, Purchasing Power, and People—as we prepare to qualify for the Nov 2024 ballot by collecting signatures from F Feb 17 to W Nov 22, 2023. (Mark your calendars, and follow the previous link if you’re new to the campaign and want to get caught up!)
Purchasing Power: The sticker company Stickerobot has a 50% bonus deal that ends this week, so please donate now so that we take advantage of a good deal on supplies that we need. Make a donation of any amount and we’ll send you some stickers as a thank-you!
Legislative endorsements: We’ve been endorsing candidates in competitive races, so please support the following air quality champions we’ve endorsed: Katie Olson, the Democratic candidate for House District 48 (South Jordan, Herriman, Riverton); Steve Handy, the Republican incumbent in House District 16 (Layton area) who is running a write-in campaign because the Republican caucus system chose a different candidate; Patrick Belmont, the Democratic candidate for House District 3 (Logan area); and Nate Blouin, the Democratic candidate for Senate District 13 (South Salt Lake area). For other endorsements of environmental champions, see O2 Utah, including Davina Smith in southeast Utah and Clare Collard in the Magna area.
In the news: Read the Tribune article about the solar-plus-batteries facility being built “in the heart of Utah’s coal country.”
