They play at Lindquist Field (2330 Lincoln Ave, Ogden, UT 84401), which apparently is owned by the city of Ogden, so we should be able to gather signatures there. (We may need to ask for a permit.) There’s no dedicated parking lot, but there are public parking garages nearby. Yoram went in Aug 2022 for a Sunday afternoon game that was not terribly well attended, but vendors said that the games are often sold out Th / F Sat nights. (Beers are only $2 on “Thirsty Thursdays”.)

- SLC, F Aug 9: Craft Lake City/DIY Festival (5pm-10pm)
- SLC, Th Aug 15: Anniversary day at Natural Grocer. They have vendor booths and sales &c on their anniversary day, and they’ve said they usually get about double their normal customer volume on this day. Apparently there’s a company policy that we can’t collect signatures on their property (boo!) but some of their locations are near sidewalks or other places where we should be able to collect signatures, and it might be worth just trying to walk through their parking lot to see if they’ll kick us out. They have 8 Utah locations: the South Jordan store looks especially friendly in terms of having a sidewalk nearby. The Logan store is in a mall right next to Al’s Sporting Goods, which we’ve been told is friendly to canvassers; the St George store is also in a mall where you might (?) be able to gather signatures in the parking lot. The two SLC locations are probably not worth targeting because we have lots of signatures from those districts. The stores in Bountiful, Heber City, and Ogden are all stand-alone locations that might be worth trying. Note that the Heber City store is in the Park City – to Vernal District 26.

- St George farmers market: Saturdays, starts early May

- Random notes: Apply to host a campaign intern from the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the U of U. The deadline from 2019 (which we missed) was Aug 5. Also: SLC: East Liberty Park Community Organization (ELPCO) meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at Tracy Aviary’s Education Room at 7pm. Also, re Park City: Notes from a Park City contact: Melissa Robinson runs the volunteers at DV Symphony and Terry Orr is the Director Park City Institute. Also, the Kimball art center has their arts fest next weekend. Thousands of Utahn’s attend these events and likely someone who is a decision maker listened to your interview on KPCW too! Just look them up on the respective websites to figure out if they would allow your group to speak with patrons. I would also call Mountain Town Stages to ask if people could assist in signing the petition during there several weekly venues. Also: See Gallivan Center calendar of events; No Name Chili Fest (website currently showing 2018 date of Sept 3): Snowbasin; Utah Farm Conference, Feb 6-8, 2020, Cedar City. Up For Air events.
