Hello clean-air-and-climate friends: This week I’m in Teasdale, mostly enjoying Capitol Reef National Park, but also checking in on occasion… except that the internet went out for most of the past 36 hours, thereby providing a fine example of why it would help to have $50 million a year for rural economic development here in Utah. In case the internet goes out again, this update will be short.

Op-ed about “RomneyAir”: Check out our op-ed in Sunday’s Tribune, based on Mitt Romney’s comments last month about carbon taxes!

Signature-gathering events this week: On Wednesday there’s a Real Salt Lake game in Sandy and a sold-out Red Butte concert, on Saturday there’s football at BYU and the U of U and a Carrie Underwood concert at Vivint Arena, and on Sunday there’s another Red Butte concert, plus there are farmers markets and more! Check out the Events calendar for more details and a link to the sign-up sheet, and/or email info@DarnAir.org for more details. We’ll get you all the materials and training you need!

College campuses: This week and next I’ll be joining campus efforts at SUU in Cedar City and Dixie State in St George, and we’ve got lots of activity at USU, Weber State, the U of U, and BYU also, so visit our college chapters page for contact information or just email us at info@DarnAir.org.
